Ample Green Foundation uses a combination of products and services. For an anti virus program I use Avast! Home edition
because it is free. It has done an excellent job for me so far plus it has a feature that allows you to set it to
automatically take a 'picture' of your system information files in case of a problem so you can easily roll back to an
earlier version of your system without trouble.

Remember that is Avast! Download a free copy here http://www.avast.com/ which is the official web site for the software.
Your chances of getting a virus or other malicious software installed is greatly reduced. If you do not have a
anti virus software on your computer then when it starts the download instead of saving the file to your hard drive just
click on Run and it will extract and set up on your system. Be aware that when it finishes the software will need to
reboot your system in order to finish the installation.

Avast comes with a extra fine feature you are sure to love and it is called VRDB which stands for "Virus Recovery Database"
The purpose of VRDB is to help recover when all the best efforts to keep viruses and other nasty programs out of your system
fails. With VRDB it is often able to return infected files to their original state of not being infected rather than just
deleting the infected often a valuable system file.

The 2nd software that is always install on Ample Green Foundation machines in Advanced Windows Care. This set of tools is
invaluable and also comes as a free download but if you can afford the upgrade then I highly recommend it. If you do stay
with the free version be aware that you must manually run the software on a regular basis for it to be effective. The paid
version does most of the work for you in the background.

There are over a dozen extremely useful powerful tools built into Advanced Windows Care and the Pro version does even
better job. What I really love about this software is that even though you may stay with the free version you can count
on the software working plus they give updates to the free versions as well as the pro on a regular basis so it is like
getting paid software for free. This company sure knows how to be a public servant. I rate them very high.

To help keep control of my user name and passwords Ample Green Foundation uses Roboform. It too comes packed with all sorts of useful tools to help you surf easier, faster, and safer. You can try it out for up to 7 sites then it will nag you to buy the software.

If you choose to remove the software you will soon regret it since it is so easy to use. One click and you are at the
web site and logged in. It can create passwords that are hard to break. The best way that I have found to use Roboform
is to use the Portable Roboform on a flash drive and that way I can break the connection with the internet completely and
thus prevent anyone from stealing my user name / password database. To make sure that even if the flash drive is lost or
stolen I use a super secure flash drive.

Iron Key is one of the very finest secure flash drives on the market today. It comes with a SEC security encryption that
is government level security. If you enter the password incorrectly too many times the information chip inside explodes.
It is not possible to reverse engineer the flash drive. It is water proof. It is numbered with Iron Key company so
even if it is lost it is possible to recover it. It is possible to try one for up to 30 days with a money back gaurantee
if you choose to return it to the company through a dealer. Ample Green Foundation is a authorized dealer. Contact us
for more details.

If you can not afford a Iron Key flash drive there is the Bio Flash drive that requires a password or a fingerprint to access.
As long as you can lock the flash drive then you are better protected.

Also for those who just can not afford a high tech security type flash drive it is recommended that you review drives by Lexar since they come with security software installed and they are very affordable.
